Cargo nets for climbing
It is something no kid can resist. It transforms the jungle gym in to a pirate ship or an army obstacle course. Your child will enjoy the cargo nets for climbing, bouncing and hours of fun. Cargo nets provide a challenge that’s irresistible for any child.
Safety first
Parents should be attentive and make sure that the holes of the cargo net on the jungle gym are small enough not to allow a child’s head to fit through the holes. If you bought your jungle gym from us at Jungle Gym World, this is something you need not worry about. At Jungle Gym World all our equipment adhere to safety regulations and we ensure that your child’s safety always come first. Our products are SABS approved. The reason why cargo nets should not have a perimeter length (total sum of all four sides of the hole) bigger that 43 cm is to prevent children from getting their heads stuck in the holes of the cargo nets.
Hours of fun
It provides one of the easiest climbing activities for kids. Their feet are small enough to fit in the holes, which is not something adults can do with the same ease because our feet are that much bigger. The cargo nets are enjoyed by younger children because of the challenge offered them. These climbing apparatus are also enjoyed by older kids because it transforms the jungle gym into a pirate ship, just like the ones they saw in the movies and now they can imitate the pirates while climbing up the netting to set the sail.
Sizes offered
At Jungle Gym World, we offer several sizes at the best possible prices. Standard size cargo nets are available in the following dimensions:
• 1 meter x 2 meter
• 1.2 meter x 1.5 meter
• 1 meter x 1.5 meter
The apparatus offers kids a huge confidence boost, especially if they can climb it and reach the top of the jungle gym. It is a safe way to teach children to master and perfect their climbing skills.
Maintenance ensures safety and prolongs the lifespan of the climbing apparatus
Regular maintenance should be done and the following must be checked carefully:
• Possible rips in the netting
• Ropes which are about to tear or show signs of perishing
• Knots that are about to come loose
• Apparatus is securely fastened to the jungle gym structure
• Slack on the ropes.
If you are not comfortable or don’t know what maintenance to do on your jungle gym we offer maintenance services. However, for the jungle gym owners wanting to do their own maintenance it should consist of the following safety checks and inspection should be done on a monthly basis:
• Oil all the moving parts
• Chains
• Nuts and bolts
• Rope ladder
• Jungle swing
• Tyre swings
Twenty-four month checks should be done. It is compulsory to touch up the paint on the lower section of the jungle gym. The steel structure that rests on the soil has a propensity to rust before anything else as a result of rain or the sprinkler systems watering the area around the jungle gym.
Get rid of rust by rubbing downing the steel structure of the jungle gym with sandpaper. Paint a new basecoat. After the basecoat has dried, you can paint it with enamel paint. The local hardware dealer or paint store will be able to assist you with sound advice regarding your choice of paints.
Repaint your entire jungle gym every 3 years. You shouldn’t remove the paint completely from the steel structure. Only scrape the areas that are affected by the rust build-up. Again, apply a base coat to the areas affected by the rust and then repaint with any enamel paint of your choice. You should keep in mind that most enamel paints take more or less seventy-two hours to dry. Check your cargo nets for normal wear and tear and replace them if it seems necessary.
