Play

As adults we often associate play as something only kids enjoy on a daily basis. In reality though, it is extremely important for us as human beings, from the day we are born until our very last breath. Through play we are able to find release, connect not only to our inner child, but to also connect with others, not to mention the fact that through play we find a way to tap into our creativity. It is therefore safe to say that by playing around, your life is enriched both in mind, body and soul, even when you are merely an onlooker.

The best reward of play though is the bond it creates between you and your child. Even something simple as pushing your little one while he is on the swing provides you the connection of trust, which is something sacred between a parent and child.  Therefore it would seem in you and your child’s best interest when you put that little bit of time aside each day to spend outside, running around, sliding down the slide, climbing up and over the jungle gym as the two of you create your own little fantasy world, forcing you to think a little bit out of the box.

So much as only thirty minutes of play a day will prove evident enough of the positive physical and mental affects it can have for you. By running around, laughing, you will reduce your stress, which will ultimately lower any violent tendencies due to inner struggles, conflicts, and worries, not to mention reduce your risk of hypertension, and even depression. Over due time you will soon come to enjoy having higher energy levels, which will give you a better backing to deal with day to day obstacles, making this mean much more than mere child’s play.
